About The Artist

My name is Carlos Maldonado I am an artist from West Liberty, Iowa currently living in Iowa City. I specialize in plein air painting with my preferred medium being acrylic & gouache. I have been painting for over 20 years and began painting full time in 2019. When I'm not painting in plein air I take commissions from my home studio. I'm inspired by beauty in the mundane and am compelled to capture that in my art.
